We aim to help those in need by supplying them with essentials for their pets like food, preventatives, toys, and enrichment!
Financial Assistance
The cost of veterinary care can be astronomical. We strive to assist with these costs when a family may not be able to pay for the critical care of their pet.
Critical Behavior Assessment
In situations where rehoming due to behavior concerns is imminent, we can help by providing behavior assessments and counseling with a certified professional dog trainer.

This is on the back of my businesscards because I truly believe it. I volunteer because it feeds my soul. I spent my entire career working in corporate America and traveling the world. While I loved all of my jobs, nothing was more satisfying than volunteering. My mom always taught me to be humble and kind. I try my best. This extends to all animals. I would love to think that Charley's Angels Pet Initiative will be my legacy and live on long after I am gone.

I am proud to be a member not only because of CAPI'S philosophy, but also with its dedication to providing valuable resources to reduce animal verpopulation, assisting pet owners who would otherwise have not humane alternative and educating young and old about rescuing and caring for animals. I also attracted as the organization takes in special needs and older animals and will care for them until the exact fit if found...as long as it takes.

Hi! My name is Ciera Wilson and I am a certified professional dog trainer. I own and operate Canine Defined Dog Training that
serves families and individuals with all types of dog training needs, from pet dogs to service dog training! CAPI is so dear to my heart as we aim to ensure pets can stay with their humans through financial hardships. I have two dogs, Hendrix and Maple, who are the absolute best and most loving pups!

I am a sucker for wet noses and slobbery kisses, and have a phone full of dog photos, I am THAT dog mom. Since picking up Morgan, our mini golden doodle at 8 weeks old, our life became about including her wherever we could. Dog friendly activities were a priority and led us to become a certified therapy team with Alliance of Therapy dogs and a R.E.A.D team. Being able to help the community with my best friend is a win win! On Morgan’s days off, I am an agent and registered representative with New York Life helping clients plan for their futures and I also find time to golf with my husband, Dave.

It's been a passion of mine to work with and for all living creatures since as far back as I can remember. I grew up in a household of many pets. My mother continued to nurture my love for animals and nature by taking us on hikes, and pointing out everything, from bark to bugs.
I look forward to helping Charley’s Angels Pet Initiative grow and become a special source of support to our furry friends in need.

Throughout my life, I have been surrounded by pets - dogs, cats, fish, guinea pigs, frogs... you name it! I have always loved animals and value the joy that they bring to one's life. I am thrilled to be a part of the Charleys Angels Pet Initiative and to contribute in enabling others to continue to experience the pleasure and comfort that their pets bring them.

I have always loved animals growing up with cats and dogs. For me, I am more of a cat person having been a cat mom most of my life, but I do also love dogs.
I have volunteered in the past for a local nonprofit feeding feral cats and it feels good knowing I'm making a difference.
It breaks my heart when I hear of an owner/family who has to give up their 4-pawed family member because they can't afford to pay for food or a vet. I hope CAPI will make a big impact for many families.
I am also Charley's dog mother!

Having the ability to spend more time with my rescue girl Lady (Buggy) means the world to me. After leaving the corporate world behind I've realized just how much I love my morning stroll with my dog. The thought of someone not being able to keep or afford their beloved pet breaks my heart and makes me realize how lucky I am to provide the care that she needs. Along came Charleys Angels Pet Initiative and I was smitten...with both Charley and this mission. I love the fact that my cool nephew Charley is trying to help pets and their owners stay together. Its a privilege to be a part of this compassionate and driven team.

🏡 As a proud mom of three wonderful kids, Victoria (9), Adrian (13), and Ashley (23), my days are filled with endless joy and excitement, cheering them on during their soccer games, practices, and thrilling adventures. Being a furry mom to Jack, our beloved companion, adds even more love and happiness to our family dynamic.
Wanderlust is in my veins, and I love exploring new places. From the picturesque Cape Cod to the charming Rhode Island, and the breathtaking New Hampshire and Vermont, every adventure fuels my soul and creates cherished memories.
🏃♀️ When I'm not traveling or supporting my kids, you'll often find me training for 5k runs, keeping myself fit and energized. Running empowers me and allows me to contribute positively to my community, which is something I'm truly passionate about.
Beyond my family and personal interests, I'm an active member of the Women's Business Network of Norwood, where I connect with incredible women and collaborate on inspiring initiatives.
Being part of the Charlie's Angel Initiative holds a special place in my heart. It allows me to extend my support to the community, uplift those in need, and work towards creating a brighter and more compassionate world.

The Story of Charley's Angels Pet Initative:
It’s 2016, and I had just gone through the loss of my two dogs; one right after the
other. I was heartbroken. I have loved all animals for as long as I can remember. I
can’t recall a time when there wasn’t a dog in my house. The loneliness set in after
a few months, and I knew I needed a 4-legged companion.
I reached out to Friends of Homeless Animals RI, and as soon as I saw that puppy
face, I was in love. I felt a bond even though we hadn’t yet met. I had no idea how
Charley would forever change me.
I started crying the second I saw him. We have not been apart since. I believe he is
my 4-legged soulmate. He listens when I speak to him, he stays by my side when I
am sick, and looks at me like I am the most important person in the world.
He goes with me everywhere.
I soon realized that he was empathic. He just knows when people are hurt, sick,
old, or challenged in any way. This was a special one. I would take him to visit
friends and family at nursing homes and he just had a way of settling in with
people and being that loving, gentle spirit.
I had often wondered if he could be a therapy dog. Last year, I reached out to Ciera
at Canine Defined and she worked with us towards his recent Canine Good
Citizens Certification.
We are now working towards being a certified therapy dog. Meantime, we are still
visiting nursing homes and bringing joy to residents. I look forward to more of
this.
To this day, I am strongly drawn to any animal, especially those in need. Charley
and I have been volunteering transporting wildlife between wildlife clinics and
rehabbers since the beginning of the pandemic. We have travelled thousands of
miles over almost four years
I have been seeing more and more sad stories about people and their pets being
separated, pets surrendered, or euthanized because people can’t afford them – it
breaks my heart. It seems to me that the people who need their pets most may not
be able to afford them.
I was always taught that if you aren’t part of the solution, you may be part of the
problem. I am not sure that’s completely true, but I also know that you if you
complain or worry about something you can/should offer a solution, however small
or insignificant it might seem.
Many hands make light the work my mom always said. So, if we all did
something, anything, we can make a difference, somehow, to someone.
It is my strong hope that we can and we will make a difference.
We are not competing with other agencies, we are not a rescue, or a products
company, but will strive to help people and pets stay together.
