A little message from our friend Pookie that we got to help recently!

Hello, my name is Pookie. I am nine years old. I am now living with my best friend. She tells me we are like peas and carrots because they go good together!

My Mom asked my best friend if she could take care of me because she was very ill. I came to live with my friend after my Mom passed away from cancer. My Dad could not take care of me and now lives in a nursing home. I get to visit him every Saturday with my friend.

My friend lives on a fixed income, whatever that means, but she’s told me not to worry that God will take care of everything and he did. I am getting a little help from Charley’s Angels Pet Initiative!

I have diabetes and require insulin twice a daily. I had my cataracts removed two years ago and for the rest of my life require, four drops and one ointment twice daily! Needless to say, I have quite the medication schedule but my friend is able to handle it. Unfortunately, it’s all very expensive and Charley’s Angels has helped to purchase some of my insulin. Maybe later; as you good People make donations, Charley’s Angels can help me with my eyedrops.
