A very common mistake among dog owners is repeating commands. This can actually teach your dog they don’t have to respond on the first cue, or even become background noise to them. If your puppy didn’t respond, first wait a moment to let them process. If still no response consider the challenge of what you are asking regarding the environment and distractions. If your puppy should be responding quickly wait them out, and don’t let them do anything else. You can then repeat after 10-15 seconds!
